Fusion 360 trainings will provide the skills necessary to develop basic knowledge of environment management, 3D modeling, assembly connections and many other stills key for 3D printing.
NOTE: this is an online class that can be taken at either at home or using our class room at The Engine House.
The Engine House class room features the latest CAD computers and 2023 AutoCAD software with dual HP monitors.

In addition to developing 3D models this course will expose students to importing and manipulating data from other design systems and creating output to additive manufacturing systems. The intention of the lesson is to allow the student to feel comfortable with the Autodesk Fusion 360 interface, by building simple, creative, and accurate parts and then joining the components to act as an assembly.

Our essentials training course is designed for new users of Fusion 360.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW BEFOREHAND?
A background in drafting or design would be beneficial before starting this hands on session. A moderate understanding of computer operations is essential to completing this class as the majority of the learning is performed on a computer.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN?
- Identify the main areas of the Autodesk Fusion 360 interface
- Describe the main work environments in Autodesk Fusion 360
- Create a new components using T-Spline and Solid modeling tools
- Join components as an assembly
- Create drawings of parts including projected views, and annotations
- Output a part to STL for 3D printing
- Identify available resources from Autodesk for teacher professional development
- Access Autodesk Online applications
